Weekly Celebrity Recap at the Palms: October 19 - October 25

Monday, October 19

Actor, director and producer Laurence Fishbourne and actor George Eads were spotted at Playboy Club. Accompanied by two others, they sat at a VIP table and sipping on mixed drinks before making their way to a reserved blackjack table.

Tuesday, October 20

Grammy-Award nominated rock band from Las Vegas, The Killers dined at N9NE Steakhouse. Accompanied by a party of nine, they sat in the private dining room and enjoyed a family-style meal.  They started with rock shrimp, tuna tartare and shrimp cocktail and feasted on filet, rib-eye and chicken for their entrees.  Everyone sipped on iced tea, soda and FIJI Water.

Moon Nightclub hosted an evening with clothing company, DCMA Collective and drew in celebrity guests including songwriter and drummer for System of a Down John Dolmayan, Motocross racer Carey Hart and DCMA Collective owner Tal Cooperman.  They sat at a VIP table and sipped on Ketel One mixed drinks.

At a separate table in Moon Nightclub, former NFL athlete and current star and producer for the Fox sitcom, Brothers Michael Strahan enjoyed the scene with a few friends.  He drank Ketel One mixed drinks and left shortly after 1:30 a.m.

Wednesday, October 21

Retired professional basketball player Gary Payton dined at N9NE Steakhouse. Accompanied by his family, Payton started with the classic Caesar salad and for his main course, he had the 8-ounce filet mignon with sides of creamed corn and green beans.  For dessert, they shared the signature s’mores.

Thursday, October 22

TV host and actor Jason Acuna, better known as Wee-Man, partied at Playboy Club. He was accompanied by six others and they sat at a VIP table.  Wee-Man was seen sipping on red wine and playing blackjack with his friends.

Friday, October 23

Will.i.am, frontman and co-founder of the hit hip hop and pop group the Black Eyed Peas took over the turntables as the guest DJ at Z-Trip’s Revolution at Rain Nightclub.

Other celebrities inside Rain Nightclub included Major League Baseball outfielder for the Boston Red Sox Jacoby Ellsbury and Meghan McCain columnist, blogger, and the daughter of U.S. Senator John McCain.

Saturday, October 24

Rob Thomas, recording artist, songwriter and lead singer of the band Matchbox Twenty, had dinner at N9NE Steakhouse. He was joined by two friends in the restaurant’s main dining room prior to his concert at The Pearl. Thomas was drinking Fiji Water and had the Big Eye Tuna Tartar followed by Sautéed Dover Sole and a side of Creamed Corn.

Joe Mauer, Major League Baseball catcher for the Minnesota Twins, was joined by 10 guests in the main dining room in N9NE Steakhouse.  He was drinking Fiji Water and enjoyed a 12oz Filet.

Also dining at N9NE Steakhouse was Actor Mark Salling (The Fox musical “Glee”). He was joined by a friend in the main dining room. The two shared the Fried Crisp Calamari and Lobster Pot Stickers and Salling enjoyed a Kobe Burger for dinner.

In Playboy Club English professional gambler and poker player David Ulliott (known by the nickname Devilfish), was joined by six guests including entertainer Matt Goss who arrived later in the evening with 15 other guests. The group was drinking Ketel One cocktails.

At Moon Nightclub Justin Berfield, actor, writer and producer (best known for his portrayal as Malcolm’s 2nd-oldest brother, Reese Wilkerson, in “Malcolm in the Middle”), arrived with a group of friends and they enjoyed the view of the dance floor from the mezzanine balcony.

Sunday, October 25

Playboy Club inside Palms Casino Resort hosted the monthly Miss Playboy Club model search Sunday night (10.25.09). Playboy Playmate Alison Waite (May 2006) named Las Vegas resident Daycita Long as Miss Playboy Club October 2009.

Weekly Celebrity Recap: September 14 - September 20

Friday, September 18

Grammy award-winning musician Kid Rock dined at N9NE Steakhouse. He sat in the main dining room with a party of 10, including George Maloof. Rock was seen drinking a beer as he feasted on the sashimi appetizer and a filet mignon for his main course.

Following dinner, Kid Rock made his way over to Rain Nightclub where he sat at the VIP table on stage near the DJ booth. Accompanied by an entourage of 30, which included members of the hip-hop group, Booya Tribe, they enjoyed the mash-up of DJ Jazzy Jeff who got behind the turntables after midnight. At about 3 a.m., Rock surprised the crowd with a 15 minute performance.

Saturday, September 19

Singer and TV personality Nick Lachey and actress Vanessa Minnillo dined at N9NE Steakhouse. The duo sat in the main dining room and started by sharing the wedge salad for an appetizer.  Lachey enjoyed the 24-ounce bone-in filet with a side of Brussels sprouts, while Minnillo feasted on the dry-rubbed baby back ribs with mac & cheese.  They both sipped on wine.

Over at Nove Italiano, Indie rock band Yeah Yeah Yeahs enjoyed a lovely dinner on the terrace, overlooking the Las Vegas Strip.  They sipped n wine and indulged in various appetizers, such as mozzarella pizza, calamari, burrata and arugula salad.  For their main course, they shared an order of linguine and a panzanella salad.  For dessert, they enjoyed the torta mascarpone.  They left around 7 p.m. to head to The Pearl where they headlined later that evening.

Ghostbar hosted the official after-party for the Yeah Yeah Yeahs.  A little after midnight, the three band members arrived with an entourage of about 20 guests.  They were seen at a couple VIP tables, one inside and one on the ghost deck, sipping on PJ Fleur Champagne, Ketel One and FIJI.  DJ and producer Brent Bolthouse spun on the turntables, keeping the energy going all night long.

Boxer Zab Judah was at Moon Nightclub. Judah and a group of friends arrived shortly after midnight and sat at a VIP table, sipping on Ketel One mixed drinks and FIJI Water.

Wednesday, September 9

Free agent Frank Thomas dined at N9NE Steakhouse. Thomas and his friends arrived at 7 p.m. and sat at the bar.  Thomas ordered the usual – rock shrimp to start and a filet mignon with sides of sautéed spinach and creamed corn for his main course.  He was seen enjoying a Miller Lite.

Friday, September 11

Retired NBA player Spud Webb was at Rain Nightclub. He arrived with a large group of friends and sat at a VIP table on the dance floor.

Saturday, September 12

The America’s Best DJ Awards (ABDJ) ceremony took place at ghostbar, hosted by DJ Times Magazine and Pioneer Pro DJ. Rain Nightclub’s resident DJ Paul Oakenfold presented talented DJ and music pioneer Z-Trip with an award for being voted “America’s Best DJ for 2009.”

At midnight, Z-Trip performed a two-hour set at Rain Nightclub for Perfecto Vegas, along with Paul Oakenfold and DJ Scotty Boy. Also at Rain Nightclub was lead singer for the Pussycat Dolls Nicole Scherzinger and pop/R&B group The Pointer Sisters.

Upstairs at Playboy Club, musician Matt Goss and his entourage of about 45, sat at three VIP tables enjoying Ketel One mixed drinks, Red Bull and FIJI Water.  Amongst guests were model and TV personality Daisy Fuentes, former MTV VJ Julie Brown and Robin Antin.

Palms Celebrity Recap: August 24 - August 30

Monday, August 24

Executive and part-time professional wrestler, Shane McMahon was spotted at ghostbar. McMahon and two other gentlemen enjoyed a round of drinks outside on the ghost deck.

Also at ghostbar was former NFL athlete Walter Briggs who arrived with three others and sat at a table near the patio.  He sipped on a beer before heading over the Playboy Club.

Professional wrestler Michael Mizanin, best known by his ring name, The Miz, was at Playboy Club with a group of six.  They sat at a table on the dance floor and enjoyed some shots.

Tuesday, August 25

Professional wrestler Jack Swagger partied at Moon Nightclub. Onlookers said Swagger was sipping on Ketel One mixed drinks, dancing and enjoying the music. He left around 2:30 a.m.  Prior to Moon Nightclub, he made a quick appearance at Playboy Club.

Wednesday, August 27

Free agent Frank Thomas dined at N9NE Steakhouse. Thomas and his party of eight arrived at 7:30 p.m. and sat in the main dining room. He ordered his favorite dishes, starting with the rock shrimp and then the 12-ounce filet with sides of sauteed spinach and creamed corn.

Thursday, August 27

Free agent, Frank Thomas dined at N9NE Steakhouse. Thomas sat at the bar solo, and enjoyed his favorites – 12-ounce filet with sides of sautéed spinach and creamed corn.  This is Thomas’ second time in the restaurant this week.

Friday, August 28

Rain Nightclub held a special tribute for turntable phenom DJ AM (Adam Goldstein).  DJ AM served as resident DJ for Rain Nightclub and hosted the weekly event called “AM Fridays” where he spun his famous hip-hop mash-up on select Friday nights and featured world-renowned DJ friends.  The staff inside the nightclub each wore DJ AM t-shirts and Nike sneakers while Greg Lopez and DJ R.O.B.(Robert Hathcock) took the stage.  At midnight, DJ R.O.B., who usually opens for DJ AM, stopped the music to say a few words and called for 60 seconds of silence in remembrance of him.  The crowd then raised their lighters and cell phones as P.

Palms Weekly Celebrity Recap: August 17 - August 23

Monday, August 17

Hard rock guitarist and one of the two lead vocalists for the rock band Kiss, Paul Stanley, dined at N9NE Steakhouse. Accompanied by his wife, son and a family friend, they enjoyed a lovely dinner in the main dining room.  They started with the sashimi N9NE, mini shellfish platter, sea scallops with lobster pot stickers and Arugula salad with Humboldt fog goat cheese.  For their main course, they shared the beef tenderloin and Executive Chef Barry Dakake’s weekly special, monkfish a.k.a. “a poor man’s lobster.”  For dessert, they feasted on crème brulee, apricot tart and the newest addition to the menu, the double chocolate cake.  After their meal, Chef Barry was seen hanging out with Stanley and his family.

Tuesday, August 18

X Games professional skateboarder Jake Brown was spotted partying at Moon Nightclub. Accompanied by eight friends, Brown sipped on Ketel One mixed drinks and was seen dancing and enjoying the music.  Amongst the group at the table was rapper Too Short who arrived a little after midnight with two friends.

Wednesday, August 19

Professional racecar driver Marco Andretti dined at N9NE. Dressed in a black button up and black jeans, he arrived with a party of four and sat in the main dining room.  They enjoyed a variety of appetizers including Rock Shrimp, Calamari and Kobe Carpaccio.  For his main entrée, Andretti indulged in the garbage salad and short ribs.  The group was seen taking several espresso shots at the end of their meal.

Also at N9NE Steakhouse was former MLB pitcher Greg Maddux.  Dressed casually in khaki shorts, a polo and golf hat, Maddux dined with four men.  They sipped on red wine and enjoyed appetizers such as lobster pot stickers and calamari.  For his main course, Maddux had the rib eye steak and a side of potato gnocchi.

Friday, August 21

Renowned hip-hop and rap artist, Ludacris enjoyed dinner at N9NE Steakhouse. Accompanied by six others, they sat at one of the restaurant’s larger booths where they enjoyed the Rock Shrimp to start.  For Ludacris’ main course, he ordered the Sea Bass special along with George’s Creamed Corn and Lobster Mashed Potatoes.  For dessert, he indulged in the Smores.  Ludacris was seen taking photos with fans and also made his way into the kitchen to visit Chef Barry before leaving.

Also at N9NE Steakhouse was comedian, actor and producer Seth Green. Joined by nine others, Green was seen sipping on Ketel One and FIJI Water.  He ordered Crispy Wontons to start, and then enjoyed a Filet with Skinny Fries for his main course.  To finish his meal, he also indulged in the Smores.

Following dinner, Ludacris put on a high-energy performance that had the crowd going all night long, poolside at Palms Pool & Bungalows.  Spotted amongst the crowd was professional skateboarder, Jake Brown who was accompanied by an entourage of about 20 people.  They were seen in the upper pool deck sipping on Ketel One mixed drinks.

At Rain Nightclub, multi-platinum group Black Eyed Peas (Fergie was not in attendance) enjoyed the scene from the VIP table on the stage near the DJ booth.  Along with a large group of 20 friends, they sipped on Ketel One and Perrier Jouet Champagne, while member and producer, Will.i.am served as celebrity guest DJ following resident, DJ AM.  Two other band members surprised the crowd by singing a few hit songs, while Will.i.am deejayed a smashing 45-minute set.

Amongst the crowd at Rain Nightclub was professional poker player Michael Matusow and a lady friend.  They were later spotted at Moon Nightclub sipping on Ketel One mixed drinks.

Also at Moon Nightclub was Seth Green who sat at a VIP table with his girlfriend and friends and enjoyed Ketel One mixed drinks.  They were celebrating his girlfriend’s birthday.

Later that night Ludacris was also spotted at Playboy Club playing blackjack with a friend.


Saturday, August 22

Jermaine Jackson and Michael Jackson’s three children, Prince Michael, Paris and Prince Michael II (Blanket), enjoyed dinner at N9NE Steakhouse. They dined in the private dining room with a party of twelve, which included Joe Maloof. The children enjoyed a wonderful dinner, which included a variety of signature desserts.

Legendary English electronic band, Depeche Mode, was at Rain Nightclub. They enjoyed the scene from the VIP table on stage and were seen drinking FIJI Water. Depeche Mode headlined at The Pearl earlier that evening.

Over at Moon Nightclub, TV personality and weekend producer of Access Hollywood, Tony Potts hung out at a table with a lady friend.

In Playboy Club was actress Sarah Lancaster who arrived with a party of nine. They sat at a table and sipped Ketel One mixed cocktails. Lancaster was celebrating her brother’s 21st birthday.

Sunday, August 23

Professional wrestler, in-ring announcer and producer, Vince McMahon was at Moon Nightclub. Dressed in a black shirt and gray pinstriped suit, McMahon arrived with a group of six.  They sat at a VIP table and McMahon was seen enjoying the scene from the patio.

Wednesday, August 5

Ashton Kutcher and Demi Moore hosted the after party for “SPREAD” at ghostbar. Following the red carpet, Kutcher and Moore hosted a dinner with ten friends inside N9NE Steakhouse.  The duo was joined by Robin Antin, Matt Gross, Soleil Moon Fry and Kutcher’s business partner Jason Goldberg in the private dining room of the restaurant. Onlookers described a smiling Kutcher and Moore who were seen holding hands as they strolled through the restaurant.  Moore was wearing a sleek black asymmetrical dress, gold stilettos and her hair in a pony tail.  Kutcher wore a light blue shirt with a dark sweater vest and blue checkered pants.  For dinner, Kutcher had a tomato salad to start with a bone-in rib eye and green beans. Moore also had a tomato salad along with a petit filet and a baked potato.  Around 10 p.m., the group headed up to the premiere after party at ghostbar. They sipped Ketel One cocktails and mingled with guests. Upon arriving, Kutcher and Moore proceeded to their private VIP table where partygoers noticed them giggling and whispering to one another, while taking in the view.  They were later spotted dancing and laughing together in the company of their friends.  At midnight, they sang happy birthday to actress and friend Soleil Moon Fry inside the ultra-lounge.

Additional celebrity attendees in ghostbar included comedian and headliner Bobby Slayton and MMA fighter and UFC champion Diego Sanchez.

Kutcher and Moore continued their evening with an after, after party at Playboy Club.  The couple arrived around 2:30 a.m. with a group of five friends and sat at a reserved table.  The party drank Ketel One cocktails and tequila shots before retiring from the club around 4 a.m.

At a separate table dining inside N9NE Steakhouse was MLB star Frank Thomas aka “the Big Hurt.”

Thursday, August 6

Actress, director and screenwriter Soleil Moon Frye was at Playboy Club. Wearing a black dress, she enjoyed the scene at a VIP table and was accompanied by six friends.  They gambled for a little while and left shortly after 1:30 a.m.

Friday, August 7

Usher hosted Vegas Magazine’s July/August Men’s Issue Party at Playboy Club. The stylish recording artist is the first man to grace the issue’s cover and was dressed in a vest, jeans and fedora.  Seated at Hugh Hefner’s VIP table inside the club with a group of friends, he sipped champagne and tequila throughout the private event.  Usher was also presented with the coveted Playboy Key by two Playboy Bunnies. Usher and friends headed to Moon Nightclub later in the evening where they continued to party at a VIP table near the dance floor.

Also spotted inside Moon and Rain Nightclub was professional poker player Michael Matusow (aka The Mouth).  He was joined by a lady in red and onlookers said he was not wearing his standard black-framed glasses.

Earlier in the afternoon, guests were treated to a wicked Ditch Friday at the Palms Pool & Bungalows with adult film star Kristen Price.  Price was joined by five friends and sipped Ketel One and lemonade poolside.  She later hosted the evening inside Moon nightclub.

Saturday, August 8

English hard rock band, Whitesnake partied at Playboy Club. Dressed in button down shirts and jeans, the four bandmates arrived with a few friends a little after midnight. They sat at a VIP table and sipped Ketel One mixed cocktails.

Model and porn actress, Kristen Price was spotted at ghostbar. Wearing a black dress and black high heels, she enjoyed the scene from a table and sipped on Ketel One mixed cocktails.

Wednesday, July 29

Free agent Frank Thomas dined at N9NE. Dressed in a black and white patterned dress shirt, jeans and brown boots, Thomas arrived around 8:30 p.m. and sat at the bar with his brother and cousin.  He had his favorite dishes, starting with the rock shrimp and then feasting on the filet mignon with sides of sautéed spinach and creamed corn for his main course.

Thursday, July 30

Former NFL player Jamie Sharper hung out at Playboy Club with one friend.  Arriving around 11:30 p.m., Sharper was dressed casually and played roulette and blackjack.

Friday, July 31

American rock band Unwritten Law was playing hooky with partygoers at the weekly pool party Ditch Fridays at the Palms Pool & Bungalows. Band members Scott Russo (vocals), Steve Morris (guitar), Pat “PK” Kim (bass) and Dylan Howard (drums) arrived around 4 p.m. and hung out in a VIP cabana poolside. They enjoyed Fiji Water, Miller Lite and Ketel One Vodka with a variety of mixers.

Actor and DJ Danny Masterson had a late dinner at N9NE Steakhouse with a group of six friends prior to taking the stage at AM Fridays inside Rain Nightclub.  Masterson wore a button-down shirt and blue jeans and ate a bone-in filet with creamed corn.

Special guest DJ Danny Masterson, also known as DJ Mom Jeans kicked off AM Fridays shortly after midnight for a packed crowd inside Rain Nightclub. Celebrity guests included actress Jenna Elfman who hung out at the VIP table on the main stage sipping Fiji Water and Ketel One.  She wore a denim vest and jeans. At a separate table: actress and artist (from the Fox action-thriller 24) Marylynn Rajskub; actor (from Party of Five and the ABC drama series Lost) Matthew Chandler Fox; actress (from It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia and Curb Your Enthusiasm) Kaitlin Olson; and actor (from It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia) Rob McElhenney. The group arrived with approximately 20 people and were seated in a VIP Skybox overlooking the stage and dance floor.  The group drank Ketel One cocktails and onlookers described them as dancing and having a great time.

Recording artist and actor Usher was spotted at a VIP table inside Moon Nightclub.  He arrived with two friends shortly after 3 a.m. wearing a black t-shirt and black jeans.  Onlookers said he was enjoying the atmosphere and was drinking Fiji Water before departing the club around 4 a.m.

Saturday, August 1

Emmy nominated professional dancer best known for being the first two-time champion of ABC’s Dancing with the Stars, Cheryl Burke, partied at Moon Nightclub. Wearing a black dress with heels, Burke and four friends sat at a VIP table sipping Ketel One mixed drinks.

Sunday, August 2

Palms Celebrity Sightings: July 20 - July 26

Monday, July 20

Player for the Boston Celtics, Paul Pierce dined at N9NE. Wearing a blue polo, designer jeans and a white baseball cap, Pierce enjoyed a lovely meal with four others in the private dining room.  They started with the signature rock shrimp and fried crisp calamari.  For his main course, Pierce indulged in the roasted Colorado lamp chops with mashed potatoes and sautéed spinach.  He was seen taking a couple shots at the end of his meal.

Tuesday, July 21

Quarterback for the Arizona Cardinals, Matt Leinart dined at N9NE.  Wearing a white polo shirt and jeans, Leinart enjoyed dinner with his dad.  He ordered a summer salad to start, and for his main course he enjoyed the 12-ounce filet with a side of mushrooms and green beans.

Also at N9NE Steakhouse was Utah Jazz player, Deron Williams who came in with a party of eight.  Williams ordered a mixed green salad and a filet for his entrée and was seen sipping on a Red Bull mixed drink.

Recognized hip-hop DJ Jazzy Jeff spun his well-loved mash-up and kept the energy going inside Moon Nightclub. Sitting at a VIP table was Boston Celtics Paul Pierce, who enjoyed the scene with eight others.  Dressed in a black shirt, jeans and a black hat, he arrived around 1 a.m. and stayed for a couple hours.

Also at a VIP table in Moon was professional race care driver Marco Andretti.  Dressed in jeans and a button down shirt, he sipped on FIJI Water.

Thursday, July 23

Model and actress Shanna Moakler dined at N9NE Steakhouse.  Dressed in a v-neck blouse and jeans, she arrived with a party of four.  To start, Moakler enjoyed the crispy fried calamari and then followed with the tender short rib entrée with a side of macaroni and cheese.

Also at N9NE Steakhouse was actress Mena Suvari who arrived with a party of ten.  She sipped on Ketel One mixed drinks and feasted on the petit filet mignon with sides of grilled asparagus and a baked potato.

Across the dining room rock icon Slash celebrated his 44th birthday with ten others.  They started with the crispy wonton appetizer.  Slash enjoyed the petit filet along with sides of green beans and skinny fries.  Executive Chef Barry Dakake sent out a platter of the restaurant’s signature desserts, and following dinner, Slash made his way into the kitchen to sign Chef Barry’s famous door and to take some photos with the staff.  The party later continued inside ghostbar.  The group sipped on champagne and cocktails as they enjoyed the Strip view.

At Moon Nightclub, UK big beat musical duo Hardknox (Steve Proctor and Lindy Layton) – well known for their song “Fire Like This,” featured in the film Me, Myself and Irene – were seen hanging out at a VIP table near the DJ booth.  They enjoyed Fiji Water and a couple shots throughout the evening.

Friday, July 24

Inside N9NE Steakhouse, UFC President Dana White was joined by a party of 8 people and sat in the private dining room. White started out with the signature rock shrimp appetizer, followed by a petit filet and a side of George’s creamed corn. White and the group were drinking champagne and wine throughout their meal.  White was dressed in a black polo, blue jeans and black leather Gucci shoes.

At a separate table in the main dining room in N9NE Steakhouse, UFC Champion Chuck Liddell was joined by two guests for dinner. Liddell started out with the rock shrimp appetizer followed by a petit filet and sides of garlic mashed potatoes and grilled asparagus. He was drinking Fiji Water throughout the meal and indulged with the chocolate banana pie for dessert.  Liddell was dressed casually in a green printed t-shirt, jeans and a pair of black dress shoes.

NBA Point Guard Mike Bibby of the Atlanta Hawks was joined by a party of 15, including his family and friends in the main dining room. Bibby started out with the rock shrimp appetizer, followed by a large filet and a side of lobster mashed potatoes. He drank soda and Fiji Water throughout his meal. The group was celebrating a few birthdays at the table and Executive Chef Barry Dakake sent out a dessert platter consisting of smores, crème brulee and blueberry almond cake.  Bibby was wearing a white t-shirt, jeans and white Air Force Ones.

Inside Rain Nightclub, Drummer for Blink-182 Travis Barker joined Resident DJ and good friend DJ AM on stage for a rocking night of music at AM Fridays. Serving as the official Kandy Vegas welcome party, the packed crowd enjoyed a hip-hop mash-up by turntable phenom, DJ AM and Barker.

Former NFL player Jamie Sharper (older brother of Darren Sharper of the New Orleans Saints) was joined by 8 friends at a VIP table on the dance floor in Rain.  They were drinking tequila and vodka cocktails throughout the night. Sharper was wearing a button up shirt with blues jeans and a backwards Yankees hat.

Pro skateboarder and reality TV star Rob Dyrdek was joined by a group of 14 people and sat at a table on the dance floor in Rain.  They were drinking Ketel One and soda cocktails.  Dyrdek was wearing a t-shirt and hat.

Musician Deryck Whibley of Sum 41 (married to Avril Lavigne) was joined by 8 guy friends and was also at a table on the dance floor in Rain.  He was drinking Fiji Water throughout the night. Whibley was wearing a black jacket.

Saturday, July 25

Partygoers made their way to the Palms Pool & Bungalows as the pool served as the official Kandy Vegas playground, transforming into a massive ultra-lounge for the Kandy Vegas Lingerie Ball.  The evening featured a unique poolside performance by Grammy award-winning artist, Snoop Dogg, who is best known for, “Drop It Like It’s Hot,” “Sensual Seduction” and “Gin & Juice.”  Joining him was Give Records sexiest new recording artist, s Following Snoop Dogg’s performance, he and eight of his friends hung out and enjoyed the scene from a VIP cabana where they sipped on mixed drinks.

Celebrities spotted amongst the masses included: Portland Trail Blazers, Greg Oden, who was accompanied by five others; retired NFL athlete Jamie Sharper, who sat in a pool deck cabana with three friends; St. Louis Rams running back, Steven Jackson, who also enjoyed the party from a pool deck cabana with three others; singer and reality star, Ashley Parker Angel; and the cast of reality show, Sunset Tan- Ania Migdal, Devin Haman, Janelle Perry, Jeff Bozz, Jenae Alt, Molly Shea and Nick D’Anna.

Upstairs in Moon Nightclub, Greg Oden arrived around 2 a.m. with a group of friends.

Earlier that evening Electronic music group Rabbit in the Moon dined at Nove Italiano with a party of 15.  They feasted on a variety of appetizers including sausage pizza, calamari and crudo.  For their main course, they enjoyed signature dishes such as a variety of steaks, Nove spaghetti and Alaskan halibut.  They made their way to Rain Nightclub where they spun their beats on the turntables, keeping the crowd going all night long.

Saturday afternoon, the preliminary judging of the Miss Sunset Tan pageant took place, and included appearances by the cast of Sunset Tan, Ashley Parker Angel and celebrity judges such as Vegas’ own celebrity journalist, Robin Leach.

Rapper Too Short was also spotted hanging out poolside at Palms Pool & Bungalows.

Alison Waite, Playboy Playmate (May 2006) announced Harmony Moniz the winner of Miss Playboy Club July 2009 inside Playboy Club.

The 2nd Annual Miss Sunset Tan was also announced last night inside Playboy Club, crowning Hillary Fisher of Charleston, South Carolina the winner.

Palms Celebrity Sightings: July 13 - July 19

Monday, July 13

Rapper Too Short was spotted at N9NE Steakhouse. He sat at the main bar with a group of five friends and sipped on a few Ketel One and Red Bull mixed drinks.  They ordered the crispy rock shrimp to go.

Also at N9NE Steakhouse was Damon Stoudamire, retired professional NBA player who currently coaches for the Memphis Grizzlies.  Stoudamire and a guest arrived around 7:30 p.m. and sat in the main dining room where he feasted on lobster bisque and a margarita.  For his main course, he had the salmon and lobster mashed potatoes.

Tuesday, July 14

TV personality, Jack Osbourne dined at N9NE Steakhouse. Accompanied by a party of four, they sat in the main dining room where they feasted on signature appetizers, including wontons, crab cocktail and a dozen oysters.  Dressed in a plaid flannel shirt and jeans, Osbourne enjoyed the filet surf and turf, with sides of mushrooms and macaroni and cheese. Following dinner, Osbourne made his way to Moon Nightclub, where he and songwriter and drummer, John Dolmayan enjoyed the scene from a VIP table on the dance floor. Osbourne was seen sipping on FIJI Water and Red Bull, while Dolmayan drank Ketel One mixed cocktails.

Also at Moon was Las Vegas rock band, Adelitas Way who celebrated the release of their new self-titled album.  They arrived around 11 p.m. and sat at a VIP table drinking Ketel One mixed cocktails.

Professional snowboarder Shawn White was across the way at another table, also drinking Ketel One.

Thursday, July 16

Actor Corey Feldman partied at with 11 friends.  Dressed in a white button down shirt, white pants, designer sunglasses and gray dress shoes, Feldman sipped on a soda and enjoyed the scene from his VIP table.

Friday, July 17

The masses flocked to Palms Pool & Bungalows on Friday where the Ditch Dating Game took place, featuring Men of X dancer, Steve Kim as the bachelor and Miss Playboy Club May 2009, Gemma Farrell as the bachelorette. Spotted amongst the crowd was NBA player for the Boston Celtics, Paul Pierce. Dressed in black shorts and a black hat, Pierce and three others enjoyed the scene from a cabana on stage.  He sipped on Perrier Jouet Rose and mixed drinks and was seen eating sliders and a chicken quesadilla.

Also at a cabana at the pool was Tracy McGrady, player for the Houston Rockets.  Accompanied by five friends, McGrady was dressed in black basketball shorts, sunglasses and a black baseball cap and was seen drinking FIJI Water.Later that evening, McGrady and a party of eight dined at N9NE Steakhouse.  He was seen feasting on the calamari to start, and for his main course he had the Dover sole and surf king crab legs.

Across the way in N9NE Steakhouse, Dallas Mavericks player, Shawn Marion enjoyed dinner with a party of four.  Marion enjoyed the rock shrimp, calamari, the Kobe short ribs and the crab-stuffed shrimp.  He was seen wearing a huge diamond-encrusted gold watch.

Upstairs at ghostbar, former NFL wide receiver and Olympic athlete, Willie Gault was spotted with two others.  Wearing a button down shirt and jeans, he sipped on FIJI Water.

Over at Moon Nightclub, actor Corey Feldman partied at a VIP table with 11 friends.  Wearing a white button down shirt, jeans, black shoes and Versace sunglasses, he was seen drinking FIJI Water.

Saturday, July 18

Bostic Celtics player Paul Pierce dined at N9NE Steakhouse. Dressed in a green polo with dark green shorts and a Gucci hat, Pierce sat at one of the lounge tables with two others.  They shared the signature rock shrimp and fried crisp calamari for their appetizers.  Pierce enjoyed the 24-ounce bone-in filet with mashed potatoes for his main course.  To finish, they took shots, sent out by Executive Chef Barry Dakake.

Also at N9NE Steakhouse was Tracy McGrady, shooting guard for the Houston Rockets.  He arrived with a party of eight and sat in the main dining room.  Dressed in black shorts and a white shirt, McGrady feasted on the Dover sole and surf king crab legs.

At Moon Nightclub, drummer and co-founder of the band Limp Bizkit, John Otto and band mate, Leor Dimant who’s also known as turntablist and producer, DJ Lethal, enjoyed the scene at a VIP table with eight others.  They drank Ketel One mixed drinks

Other celebrities at Moon Nightclub included: player for the Carolina Panthers, Richard Marshall with eight friends; player for the Washington Wizards, Antawn Jamison, who sipped on mixed drinks and was accompanied by nine others; actor and comedian, Kevin Hart; former American and Canadian football player, Warren Moon with ten friends; player for the Golden State Warriors, Kelenna Azubuike, who enjoyed the scene from the mezzanine level with eight others; and wide receiver for the Dallas Cowboys, Miles Austin and 15 others, who enjoyed an array of drinks.

Sunday, July 19

Professional race car driver, Marco Andretti was spotted at Playboy Club. Dressed in a black t-shirt and jeans, he arrived with four guests and sipped on Ketel One mixed drinks.

Upstairs at Moon Nightclub, German trance music DJ and producer, Markus Schulz enjoyed the scene from a private table behind the DJ booth with four friends.  Sipping on Ketel One and Red Bull, Schulz served as the celebrity guest DJ for the evening and had the crowd going all night long.

Monday, July 6

Former MLB athlete, Reggie Jackson dined at N9NE Steakhouse with a party of four.  Wearing a dark blue polo, slacks and black dress shoes, Jackson sipped on a glass of wine while enjoying N9NE Steakhouse’s weekly special, Lentil Soup with Grilled Shrimp.  He enjoyed the Sautéed Organic Salmon for his main course.  For dessert, he had the house-made ice cream, accompanied by a decaf cappuccino.  Following dinner, Jackson and his guests were spotted at ghostbar for a short while.

Tuesday, July 7

Actor Lou Phillips dined at Nove with his wife, daughter and mother-in-law.  They had a table in the terrace where they enjoyed a lovely view of the Strip.  They started by having the Gazpacho Soup and other Nove specialties.  For their main course, Phillips and his wife indulged in the Nove Spaghetti, while his mother-in-law enjoyed the Pork Chop.  They finished with the Strawberry Carpaccio and Trio of Sorbetto.

Thursday, July 9

Rain Nightclub hosted the 40th Annual World Series of Poker Event, a private event which featured a special performance by Grammy award-winning artist, Nelly.  The evening consisted of poker stars and celebrities who joined as one with PokerStars.net to celebrate poker at its finest.  Dressed in a white polo shirt and jeans, Nelly arrived with an entourage of 15 people.  Shortly after midnight, he hit the stage and rocked a 40-minute live performance in front of a packed house.  In addition to singing top hits, “Hot In Herrre,” “Dilemma” and “Country Grammar” he also treated the crowd with two songs from his new album expected to hit stores in the fall.

Others in attendance included: actor and poker player Chad Brown; professional poker players Daniel Negreanu, Gregory Raymer and Barry Greenstein; actor and comedian best known for his role in Seinfeld, Jason Alexander; and actor who was recently crowned the winner of reality TV series, I’m a Celebrity…Get Me Out of Here, Lou Phillips.

English rock band Duran Duran partied at Playboy Club at a VIP table.  They arrived with a couple friends and were seen drinking beer, leaving shortly after midnight.

Friday, July 10

Motley Crue lead singer Vince Neil had dinner at N9NE Steakhouse. Accompanied by his wife, the couple enjoyed the bibb lettuce salad and the lobster to the N9NES.  They were seen drinking FIJI Water and iced tea throughout their meal.

Also in N9NE Steakhouse, was MMA fighter Quinton “Rampage” Jackson with a party of six.  Jackson feasted on the Morty’s Lemon Chicken with sides of grilled asparagus and George’s creamed corn.

NBA player Ovinton Mayo and three friends were also spotted in the main dining room at N9NE Steakhouse sharing the rock shrimp, a signature appetizer.  Mayo indulged in the petit filet for his main course.

English rock band Duran Duran enjoyed a lovely dinner at Nove Italiano following their successful performance at The Pearl that evening.  Joined by 18 friends, the party sat in the private dining room where they sipped on mixed drinks, beer and wine.  Executive Chef Geno Bernardo sent out signature appetizers and for their main courses, guests shared family-style dishes.  Following dinner, the party moved upstairs into Playboy Club, where they enjoyed the scene from a VIP table and drank beer.  Actor Dave Foley was seen amongst the party’s guests.

MMA fighter Diego Sanchez and six friends also hung out in Playboy Club.

Actor and model Greg Vaughan, was spotted at Moon Nightclub.

At Rain Nightclub for DJ AM Fridays, celebrity guest DJ, Benji Madden rocked the house.  Dressed casually in a t-shirt and jeans, he was seen sipping on Ketel One mixed drinks.

Saturday, July 11

Singer, actor and film producer Donnie Wahlberg partied at Playboy Club, accompanied by singer and Wahlberg’s New Kids on the Block band mate, Joey McIntyre. They were seen drinking Ketel one mixed drinks at their VIP table and roughly around 2:30 a.m., they treated guests to a special performance of their hit song, “Single.”

Sunday, July 12

Anaheim Angels pitcher Jered Weaver dined at N9NE with three guests.  Weaver and his party shared the Kobe Carpaccio and the 9 Perfect Stuffed Shrooms for their appetizers.  For his main course, Weaver indulged in the 24-ounce Bone-In Filet with the Lobster Mashed Potatoes and Grilled Asparagus.  He was seen drinking FIJI Water, a martini and a beer with his meal.

Also at N9NE Steakhouse was St. Louis Rams running back Steven Jackson.  Accompanied by two friends, they enjoyed the Signature Rock Shrimp and Oysters Rockefeller.  Jackson feasted on the Grilled Hawaiian Swordfish with a side of Lobster Mashed Potatoes.  For dessert, they shared the Campfire S’mores and the “Fosters Style” Chocolate Chip Banana Bread Pudding.


At Nove Italiano, actor and winner of the NBC reality TV series, I’m a Celebrity…Get Me out of Here!, Lou Diamond Phillips dined with his family.  They enjoyed the Strip view on the terrace, where they dined on a variety of Nove specialties, including the Bone-In Rib Eye, Chicken Parmesan, Chicken Marsala and Kobe Short Rib.  They had Cannolis and Strawberry Carpaccio for dessert.  Phillips was also seen in the kitchen signing Executive Chef Geno’s famous door.

Upstairs in Playboy Club, rapper known as Silkk the Shocker enjoyed the scene at a VIP table with 10 others.

Also spotted in Playboy Club was retired NBA player Daniel Majerle, who gambled with a lady friend.

Earlier that afternoon, MMA fighters soaked up the sun poolside for a post-fight party at Palms Pool & Bungalows.  Those in attendance included Frank Trigg, Urija Faber and Chuck Liddell.  The fighters were seen enjoying the atmosphere and taking photos with fans.
